PLEASE TRY TO REFRAIN FROM SMOKING AT ALL MEETINGS SO ANYONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO CAN ATTEND.

From the Commander……

I have made a commitment to make our Post a "fun" place for our members and guests to come to.  I want everyone to come in and eat, drink, dance, sing and have a really good time!  That does not mean that a person should come into our Post and have too much to drink.  I have instructed our bar manager, Linda Mitchell, to have our great bar maids to cut off people that they think have had too much to drink.  If you are cut off or asked to leave, please do so.  You may be puting one of our barmaid's job in peril!  As commander, I will not sit still for someone leaving our Post drunk, abusing our members or guests or being obviously obnoxious and possibly putting another driver and maybe even their family's safety in jeapardy.  Fun means fun for all.  Not just an out of control drunk!  Please pass the word.  I do not want people taking this out on our barmaids.  I take full responsibility and am proud to do so.  Have fun but, please drink responsibly!

We will be starting “Dog Races” on Sunday evenings from 5-7pm.  We use the BINGO board for the races and you can pick one to five dogs.  Winners will be rewarded with valuable prizes!  We will also be serving Coney Island style hot dogs with all the trimmings.  Come on in and have some fun.

Our Karaoke on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9pm is one of our most successful evenings of the week.  Come in and sing your heart out!  Also enjoy Pete’s Wings and Egg Rolls from 5-7pm.  They’re hard to beat!

Friday evenings, from 5-7, we serve some of the best dinners from here to Georgia!  This is good food with live music that starts at 6:30pm.  Eat, drink and be merry!

Don’t forget our new happy hours are from 3-6pm EVERY DAY!  Say hello to our fabulous barmaids that always serve with a smile!

For God and Country, Barry August, Commander

Dues notices went out last month.  We had good response from our northern members but what happened to locals?  Please help the squadron meet our goal of 100% by the end of “Early Bird” which will end soon.  Please get your dues in as soon as possible.  Your dues contribute to the overall programs of the S.A.L. and the things we do around the Post.

Fellow Squadron 136 members wishing to receive their monthly news letter by e-mail should forward their e-mail address to Wayne DeMeyere, Sgt. At Arms at pisailor@hotmail.com.  Your e-mail address will not be shared with any outside group.

Squadron 136 is implementing this program in an effort to keep our membership better informed of the activities and events planned for the Squad and the Post.  If you have any questions, please contact Wayne at the above e-mail address or call him at 239-209-8047.
